Our History

  • 2021
    Smartgenix was created the first of it's kind.
    Smartgenix was launched with a mission to revolutionise the automobile service industry. The idea was to have one garage have their own application. I wanted to allow users to make appointments with a mechanical company, record MOTs( Only in the UK) record services and repairs. Users can see the status of a job when to drop off the car and when to pick up their car from the mechanic. Mechanics can quickly see what jobs they have on that day. They can easily start a job and record everything they have done to the automobile

    Moved to a multi platform site
    Instead of creating an application for every garage we moved to a single application where users download the Smartgenix application and they can then choose which mechanical company they want to register with. This helps users change from one mechanical company to another. instead of users downloading multiple applications everytime they want to change garages to just clicking on a few buttons and changing over.

    Changing Smartgenix to allow for recoveries
    Alongside MOT, Services and Repairs which most companies offer. We allowed for users to record recoveries. There are times when we need help on the side of the road or get help home this feature was mostly needed when a group of my friends were travelling home from a holiday and the head gasket blew and he couldn't travel home. He didn't have recovery on his insurance so he needed a recovery truck to take him to the closest mechanic. Users can register recoveries and all nearby recovery companies can send in a quote to the user and then the user has an option to select the one that they want. The recovery company and the user can then communicate with each other quickly.

    Recovery companies can register on our site start taking orders. Alongside MOT, Services and Repairs which most companies offer. We allowed for users to record recoveries. Users can register recoveries and all nearby recovery companies can send in a quote to the user and then the user has an option to select the one that they want. The recovery company and the user can then communicate with each other quickly.

    Enterprise accounts
    Many companies may have multiple mechanical companies which they want to manage from one portal. Enterprise accounts can add multiple mechanical companies, manage them, see the number of jobs they are performing and what users are saying about the company and so much more.

    Transfer cars and download history
    Many users wanted to be able to transfer a car once a user has bought it off them and this can easily be done now. Users can also download a full car history off our site to see what jobs have been created what work was completed, when it was completed and by which company it was completed by.
